Xander Blue in Fassforward
[Skaneateles, NY] Andrew Ramsgard designer and creator of the Xander Blue glass furniture series announces its biggest commission yet on the first day of the 2005 ICFF. Ramsgard says, "The third year is definitely the charm". For his custom furniture company at ICFF, the first year (2003) they landed the Stepford Wives movie deal, creating ten custom pieces for a key opening scene with Nicole Kidman.
The second year at ICFF (2004) was even better with a commission for the Bravo Television Show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. They did an all glass bar for the show that the star Tom Falica called "the coolest thing ever".
ICFF 2005 puts Xander Blue in fassforward group, a global team of consultants with diverse business experiences and backgrounds in design, engineering, anthropology, and history. Their clients are the top executives of Fortune 100 companies like Estee Lauder, Interpublic Group of Campanies (McCann Wordgroup, Draft, R/GA), Xerox, MasterCard, and Verizon Wireless.
Fassforward commissioned an entire corporate furnishing package with several pieces including a custom conference table, reception desk, and partners desks. "We are going to create a unique look for Fassforward that will fuse our custom furniture in an artful way with the consulting company's corporate mission", says Ramsgard. Rose Fass of fassforward says, "We want to stimulate thinking in a different way. We wanted our office space to reflect the openness, receptiveness to new ideas, and collaborative spirit that we encourage in client engagements."
This year's commission is far and beyond the biggest thing Xander Blue has done to date.
