The Color of Music, The Color of Light

The art of Peter S. Maciulewicz - musician, entrepreneur and painter - is joining the Xander Blue furniture of Andy Ramsgard - architect, designer and craftsman - for a unique exhibit at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York City.

Booth 1204 at the ICFF will host creations from Ramsgard's Xander Blue, on of todays most imaginative and provocative furniture lines, set off by seven Maciulewicz paintings - a fusion of 3D and 2D works of art that share a vibrancy of color, light, and energy.

Peter Maciulewicz painted as a child and young man, but initially chose to focus his creativity on music, playing jazz bass. He attended Boston's famed Berklee College of Music, and has performed and recorded professionally since 1974. But in 2000, Peter picked up his brushes again to create work that often draws energy and imagery from his life in music.

Since debuting in 2003, Xander Blue colored glass furniture has appeared in Interior Design, European Home & Gardens and Glass Quarterly magazines, and on the set of the Frank Oz remake of the Stepford Wives (2004). Also in 2004, Drake Design of New York City commissioned Xander Blue to create dramatic, ice-inspired glass panels for the corporate communications center of Subzero in Madison, Wisconsin.

Together, Peter and Andy's works complement one another in an energetic, contemporary environment that is not to be missed.
